Stormhawk Service Nights
Who is participating?
- Squirts, Peewees, 12U Girls, & 10U Girls
- (Rookies, Mites, 6U Girls, 8U Girls, 15U Girls, Bantams, & Junior Gold teams do not currently participate in Stormhawk Service Nights.)
- Select 2 adults and 4-6 players per shift to help inside concessions.
- (It is a small space, so it is recommended to have no more than 8 people inside concessions at once.)
- If you want all players to have a chance to work concessions, split into multiple shifts.
- You must always have two adults in concessions to monitor food prep and the register.

Is this for Dibs?
Participating in a stormhawk service night does not count towards family volunteer hours.
What do we wear?
- Please wear close-toed shoes.
- CCHA Gear is not required, but highly encouraged.
What do we do?
- As a team, you will run the concessions and take care of the rink for the evening.
- Please review all tabs to find information on how these service nights work!
Players working concessions:
- make slushies
- pour hot chocolate
- make hot dogs
- make pretzels
- make popcorn
- restock food & drinks
- be the “runners” for the cashier.
- Do not allow minors to run the register without adult supervision.
Players in the rink / lobby area:
- Sweep - There is a broom/dustpan set to tidy up the lobby area as needed.
- Pick up trash
- Hold doors for patrons.
- Help keep the rink tidy & running smoothly.
- Please do not allow these players to mess around or just sit and watch the game when they are not on concessions duty. It is their responsibility to keep the rinks looking great!
Traffic Flow - The biggest rush of the night will be after period 1 of the Varsity game.
- Not much food will sell after that rush.
- Be sure to slow down on food preparation after the first period to avoid excessive waste of unpurchased food at the end of the day.
When?
Teams will be assigned a concession stand shift to work during the following types of games:
- Chaska High School Boys Hockey
- Chanhassen High School Boys Hockey
- Chaska/Chan Stormhawks Girls High School
Click the links above to be directed to the high school team schedules. If there is a JV & Varsity game consecutively, your team will serve concessions for both games.
Rescheduling
If your team CANNOT do the game you are scheduled, it is then your team’s responsibility to tradewith another team. Our Ice coordinator will do the best they can when assigning these games.
